This is an online e-commerce store, developed in 2003. This site uses my own software which I developed for the secure shopping cart, the database, and the internal search engine, and further interfaces securely to an internet payment gateway for the secure processing of all online credit card orders. The entire website was created by my own manual hand-written code. This is my simplest designed (true) e-commerce store to date, as my client was most concerned with download speed and at first wanted no graphics at all, instead only simple black text on white background. We later added a logo image, and finally to the Home page we added a very small flash animation along the top and a few small gif images. Because the client's demand were lower, it doesn't have quite as sophisicated a shopping cart as my other e-commerce sites (i.e. no quantity selection per product, no automatic online tracking of order status, etc. ). Yet, this website is grossing over 6 million in sales annually.

As with any of my clients, I can offer my opinion and knowledge as a guide, but in the end I will always honor their wishes and build it exactly as they desire. On all of my client's sites, there are (and most likely will always be) some things which I don't completely agree with, and I will express such to the client. But as these appearance issues are inherently mostly subjective, the opinion of the client, whom is my customer, "... is always right".
