Route 66 Band

In early 2003, I joined a forming dance/party band already named as "Route 66". This video was filmed at our first gig in March 2003.
This is the one and only time I can ever remember where somebody brought out a video camera AND we actually had a decent crowd. (If you recall from the previous page, that was always my curse - anytime there was a camcorder at the gig, it would turn out to be a terrible crowd).
But even though we had a camcorder at this gig AND we actually had a decent crowd, it still wasn't perfect - only a few songs towards the end of the gig in the last set actually came out. The second camera out in the crowd did record the whole thing, and you could hear everything ok, but couldn't see any of the band from that view. So we used only those songs at the end that were recorded also by the first camera, and then A/B rolled video from the second camera's view in certain spots. Also not ideal, was the fact that I wasn't feeling 100% up to par that night, and my lead vocals in the last song were iffy at best.
But for a video at a live gig, it's the best crowd I've ever caught on tape. Here it is: Route66.rm
